ECG Case 161

A 22-year-old man presents to his primary doctor with a complaint of having a “fast heartbeat”. He states he has noted episodes of this on and off for the past several months.

He generally notices this symptom when lying down at night to sleep. The sensation will start abruptly and end just as abruptly several minutes later. He denies associated symptoms such as dyspnea, chest discomfort, or presyncope.
