1-year-old baby with decreased conscious level and vomiting

1-year-old baby was brought to the casualty department with decreased conscious level and repeated vomiting. The parents denied any recent history of head injury.

Physical examination showed a lethargic baby with multiple skin bruises of varying ages all over the body. Sluggish pupil responses to light and retinal haemorrhage were also found on fundoscopic examination.

Laboratory investigations revealed normal clotting profile and platelet count. In view of the neurological signs, a CT brain was performed for further assessment.
