WPW Syndrome in 14-year-old boy

WPW Syndrome and Osborne Waves

Interpretation

  • On this ECG tracing we see short PR interval and Delta waves best seen in precordial leads, so the diagnosis is WPW syndrome, and the presumption could be that he had lethal arrhythmia at home.
  • We also see Osborn Waves (terminal bumps at the end of QRS best seen in lead V4 – V6) due to Hypothermia which had been induced during his resuscitation.
