A 41 year-old gentleman known to have bronchiectasis presents with 4 day history of cough with purulent sputum, shortness of breath and haemoptysis.
Patient had a past medical history of:
- Left sided empyema 20 years ago which was drained and treated with antibiotics
- Bronchiectasis was diagnosed 4 years ago
