Interpretation
The prolonged QTc indicates Hypocalcemia.
The tall, narrow based T waves indicates Hyperkalemia.
The patient’s Pancretitis has caused the release of amylase and lipase and the resulting free fatty acids are “saponified” by calcium, resulting in hypercalcemia with a level of 7.2 mmol/l.
Her diabetic keto acidosis and Chronic Renal Failure have increased potassium to 8.2 mmol/l.
