A 23-year-old man was brought to the ED in a confused and drowsy state. He was a known IV drug addict and complained of headache and high fever for a few days.

During his physical examination he suddenly developed generalized tonic-clonic convulsions. He had high fever and laboratory tests revealed a raised white cell count. An urgent plain and contrast enhanced CT brain was performed.

What is shown on the CT and what’s the diagnosis ?
